Ted Humble-Smith is a photographer and director based between London and Devon, known for crafting meticulously conceptual imagery that carries an undercurrent of magic. His work spans the luxury fashion, beauty, jewelry, and business worlds, where each visual tells a story layered with motion, atmosphere, and precision.
Bringing a deep affinity for nature into the studio, Ted’s still life photography is anything but static. Every frame feels alive, imbued with energy, movement, and often a nod to the organic world. His motion work echoes this same dynamic sensibility, seamlessly blending the natural with the constructed.
In today’s multi-channel world; where brands must speak consistently across digital, physical, social, and experiential platforms, Ted works with clients on both large-scale productions and more intimate, agile projects. Whether creating high-impact campaigns or crafting bespoke content for targeted channels, he brings the same level of creative intent and visual refinement to every brief.
A true multidisciplinary creative, Ted frequently assembles diverse teams, including scientists, engineers, doctors, mathematicians, sculptors, and set designers to realise complex visual ideas. Many of his sets are handcrafted in his own workshop. In his recent campaign for Bushmills, for example, the custom-built set was transformed post-shoot into a wall-hanging artwork, providing the client with both striking visuals and tangible assets.

Outside the studio, Ted is a passionate surfer and gardener, often found near the sea or in his garden with his wife and son, planting, pruning, and staying connected to the natural cycles that inspire him.
